November 4, 2014.

56% of Oregonians vote in favor of Measure 91, introducing the legalization of recreational marijuana for all adults above 21 years old. Oregon is the third state, after Colorado and Washington, to make cannabis legal. This progressive, traditionally democratic, West Coast state has been a pioneer in the struggle to decriminalize and then legalize cannabis. This measure is part of a larger fight to change the dialogue around the “War on drugs” in the US, in order to take the drug trade off the hands of criminals and make it safer for everyone to consume, as 50% of Americans favor the legalization.
